The February 2007 TVA River Neighbors—an electronic newsletter for people who use TVA-managed reservoirs—is now available online.
In the lead story, you’ll find answers to some of the questions reservoir users often ask about the spring fill such as: when will the water level in my reservoir start going up, when will my reservoir reach full pool, and why isn’t my reservoir filling as fast as other reservoirs?
Other topics covered in this issue include:
How TVA calculates the dollar value of flood damage averted
The benefits of a fully automated hydroelectric system in maximizing the value of the water stored in TVA-managed reservoirs
An ongoing TVA study to determine whether reservoir lands previously designated for recreation and economic development are still suitable for those uses
Information for people interested in trout fishing below TVA dams or camping at one of TVA’s 11 campgrounds.
